Freeware programs can be downloaded used free of charge and without any time limitations. Freeware products can be used free of charge for both personal and professional (commercial use).

Open Source

Open Source software is software with source code that anyone can inspect, modify or enhance. Programs released under this license can be used at no cost for both personal and commercial purposes. There are many different open source licenses but they all must comply with the Open Source Definition - in brief: the software can be freely used, modified and shared.

Free to Play

This license is commonly used for video games and it allows users to download and play the game for free. Basically, a product is offered Free to Play (Freemium) and the user can decide if he wants to pay the money (Premium) for additional features, services, virtual or physical goods that expand the functionality of the game. In some cases, ads may be show to the users.

Demo programs have a limited functionality for free, but charge for an advanced set of features or for the removal of advertisements from the program's interfaces. In some cases, all the functionality is disabled until the license is purchased. Demos are usually not time-limited (like Trial software) but the functionality is limited.

Trial software allows the user to evaluate the software for a limited amount of time. After that trial period (usually 15 to 90 days) the user can decide whether to buy the software or not. Even though, most trial software products are only time-limited some also have feature limitations.

Usually commercial software or games are produced for sale or to serve a commercial purpose.

GeForce Experience

NVIDIA GeForce Experience is a collection of enhancements for owners of NVIDIA display adapters and graphics cards.

The program includes a number of useful utility, mainly for games. Namely, you can use GeForce Experience to optimize games and share your achievements online.

The application also includes utilities which keep your NVIDIA graphics drives up-to-date as well as tools to improve image quality and frame rate in-game. GeForce Experience scans the system for games and provides optimal settings configurations.

The preferences are customizable and the application can be set to update graphics drivers automatically, optimize for certain game titles and access application log files.

Automatic optimization of games

One area where NVIDIA GeForce Experience shines is the feature which scans the system for games that it can support the optimization of. In the main window, you're presented with games that have been detected on the system and will display recommended settings. These improvements can involve special effects, resolution, shading, shadows, texture filtering and advanced PhyX options that can be applied to the game.

New optimized settings that GeForce Experience recommends can be previewed by way of a game screenshot displaying the before and after effects.

Unfortunately for owners of older graphics cards, GeForce Experience is really only useful for people with newer graphics cards and can't take advantage of the improvements that have been made in graphics processing over the years.

All in all, NVIDIA GeForce Experience is an excellent tool to have for owners of GeForce display adapters and especially useful for gamers.

Let’s admit; there are plenty of game optimizer programs available for Windows 10. However, not all of them were effective. Some of them push ads in between the games.

For a gamer, having a high-end PC is essential. Yes, your GPU decides which games your PC will run, but having a software suite to optimize gaming performance will let you run those games at better frame rates.

If you are a gamer and have an Nvidia Graphics card, you can utilize the Nvidia Geforce Experience. In this article, we will discuss the Nvidia GeForce Experience and how it enhances your PC’s gaming performance in numerous ways.

What is the Nvidia GeForce Experience?

Well, Nvidia GeForce Experience is a software suite that’s designed to enhance your PC’s gaming performance. If you use an Nvidia Graphics card, you can utilize the GeForce Experience to improve your gaming experience.

The software suite promises to deliver gorgeous visuals at high frame rates. Once installed, it scans your computer for compatible games and applies the best-known configuration to enhance the gaming performance.

Apart from configuring games for better performance, Nvidia Geforce Experience can do many other things. For that, you need to check out the features which we have shared just below.

Features of Nvidia Geforce Experience

Now that you are aware of the Nvidia GeForce experience, you might want to know its features. Below, we have highlighted some of the best features of the Nvidia GeForce Experience.

Well, if you have an Nvidia Graphics card, you can download & install the Nvidia Geforce experience for free. Then, you need to head to Nvidia’s official website and download the Geforce experience. However, you might need to create an account before getting the download file.

Updates the Nvidia Drivers

You can also take Nvidia GeForce Experience as a driver updating utility. However, the only limitation with the GeForce experience is that it only updates your Nvidia drivers. The program will automatically download & install the latest graphics driver upon the installation.

Optimize Game Performance

Another best feature of Nvidia GeForce Experience is that after the installation, the program scans your computer for compatible games and applies the best-known configuration to enhance the gaming performance.

Record/Share Gameplay Videos

With Nvidia Geforce Experience, you can record and share gameplay videos and live streams on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch. It also includes the NVIDIA ShadowPlay technology that lets you broadcast with minimal performance loss.

Game Filters

NVIDIA GeForce Experience also includes lots of game filters. For example, the freestyle game filter allows you to apply post-processing filters to your gameplay. However, the feature works only on compatible games.

So, these are some of the best features of the NVIDIA GeForce Experience. First, you need to start using the software suite to explore the hidden features.

Download NVIDIA GeForce Experience Offline Installer

Now that you are fully aware of the NVIDIA GeForce Experience, you might want to install it on your system. However, please note that NVIDIA GeForce Experience is a program that requires an internet connection after installation.

It will require an active internet connection for downloading the latest NVIDIA drivers, game settings, and other elements. However, since the program is available for free, one can download it from the official NVIDIA website.

However, if you want to download & install NVIDIA GeForce Experience on multiple systems, it’s best to download the offline installer. Below, we have shared the latest version of the NVIDIA Geforce Experience. The file shared below is free from viruses/Malware, and it’s entirely safe to download.

How to Install Nvidia GeForce Experience on PC?

So, if your PC has an NVIDIA graphics card, you need to download the GeForce experience from the download section. Once downloaded, run the installer file and follow the on-screen instruction.

Once installed, you will be asked to log in with your Nvidia account. Now the program will check for your PC’s hardware components and games. It will also check for outdated drivers and will install the latest version of Nvidia drivers.

Download gforce experience

Want to download drivers for your NVIDIA GeForce GPU without installing NVIDIA’s GeForce Experience application? NVIDIA doesn’t make them easy to find, but you can do it. Here’s how to avoid GeForce Experience on Windows.

It’s Your Choice

We’re not bashing GeForce Experience here. It has some neat features like the ability to automatically optimize graphics settings for your PC games and record your gameplay. It also can automatically search for and install driver updates. You’ll have to find and install updates manually if you skip the GeForce Experience application.

But GeForce Experience is also a heavier application that requires you sign in with an account. You even have to sign in with an account just to get driver updates. If you’d like to install your drivers the classic way—just the drivers themselves and the NVIDIA Control Panel tool—you can.

How to Download NVIDIA’s Drivers Without GeForce Experience

You can download the drivers from NVIDIA’s website. Either head to the newer GeForce Drivers page and use the “Manual Driver Search” section or use the classic NVIDIA Driver Download page.

Whichever page you use, you’ll have to know the model of your graphics card, whether you’re using a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows, and which type of driver you want. (Not sure which GPU you have or what type of Windows operating system you have? Scroll down for instructions on how to find out.)

The “Game Ready Driver (GRD)” features optimizations for the latest games and is intended for gamers, while the “Studio Driver (SD)” prioritizes stability and is intended for creative professionals

Use the fields to select your drivers and click “Search.” When you’re done, click the “Download” button to get the drivers.

How to Install the Drivers Without GeForce Experience

Download the driver’s EXE file and double-click it to install like any other application. Let the installer extract its files and begin installation.

After the installer extracts its files and starts, you’ll be prompted to choose the kind of installation you want. By default, it will try to install the “NVIDIA Graphics Driver and GeForce Experience” software.

Be sure to select “NVIDIA Graphics Driver” instead to avoid installing NVIDIA GeForce Experience.

How to See Which NVIDIA GPU You Have

To check which NVIDIA GPU you have on your Windows 10 PC, open the Task Manager. You can do so by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc or by right-clicking the taskbar and selecting “Task Manager.”

Click the “Performance” tab at the top of the Task Manager window. If necessary, click “More Details” at the bottom of the Task Manager to expand the Task Manager and view the tabs.

Select the “GPU” entry in the sidebar here. Look for the name of your GPU near the upper-right corner of the Task Manager window.

If you have multiple GPUs in your system, click each and examine their names. If you have a gaming laptop, there’s a good chance you have both NVIDIA graphics and Intel graphics. Look for the name of the NVIDIA GPU.

How to See Whether You’re Using 64-bit Windows

To check whether you’re using a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows, head to Settings > System > About. You can open the Settings window from the Start menu or by pressing Windows+i.

Look for the “Device specifications” section on this screen. To the right of “System type,” you’ll see whether you’re using a “64-bit operating system” or a “32-bit operating system.”

Remember, You’ll Have to Update Them Manually

You’re now responsible for updating your own NVIDIA drivers. They won’t automatically check for updates or download and install new versions of your GPU drivers for you. That feature requires the NVIDIA GeForce Experience software.

How to Uninstall GeForce Experience

By the way, if you already have the NVIDIA GeForce Experience software installed, you can uninstall it while leaving your drivers installed.

Just head to Control Panel > Uninstall a Program, search for “nvidia,” and uninstall the “NVIDIA GeForce Experience” application. Leave the other NVIDIA driver entries installed.

Or Just Use Windows Update

If you don’t play PC gamers, you can always just get your drivers via Windows Update. Don’t install anything from NVIDIA and Windows will automatically install drivers for your GPU. However, the drivers won’t be the most up-to-date for the latest PC games and you don’t get utilities like the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Having the latest drivers is important for gamers, but the average PC user can get by with the drivers from Windows Update.
