Get ready for 10 Freeway closure in Ontario and Upland

Both sides of the 10 Freeway between Holt Boulevard and Euclid Avenue will be fully closed starting Friday night, San Bernardino County’s transportation agency announced. The closure of both the westbound and eastbound lanes will take place nightly beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, and again on Saturday, Oct. 16. The closures remain in effect until 10 a.m. the following day. Motorists should follow detour routes or avoid the freeway altogether, according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority.

Eastvale man arrested in Rancho Cucamonga shooting

A 22-year-old Eastvale man accused of shooting a man in Rancho Cucamonga was taken into custody, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday, Oct. 13. Oscar Daniel Gutierrez was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 12, around 4 p.m. at 14382 Smith River Road in Eastvale, according to San Bernardino County jail records. He was being held on suspicion of attempted murder with his bail set at $1 million.
