The Real Deal
Don't be fooled. This 8830 tape is about 5 times more reflective than typical reflective tape (even other Scotchlite PNs) commonly available in the hardware store or on Amazon. And here it is available in a quantity that doesn't require you to buy an entire (expensive!) roll.

The 3M™ 580 series film respects the directive ONU /ECE 104, other colors available on our store.
Usually it is used on emergency vehicles such as police cars or ambulances where it' s important to have a high resistance to vibration, water, vapors and hydrocarbon. You can also use it for decoration of boat or commercial vehicles. This film has the great value that if applied on a black surface such as bodywork, helmets, or rear bumper, during the day it camouflages perfectly and will not be noticeable.
It has an excellent refraction (up to 90% in case of rain or humidity) even at high angles.

What You Need to Know About Reflective Tape
Reflective tape is cut from the main reflective sheeting rolls in various widths. How to choose the right tape?
Surface:
Which tape to pick depends mainly on the object and its material you would like to mark since the tapes have special adhesives for different surfaces.
Reflectivity:
Also, reflectivity performance is something you should consider when buying reflective tape. In general, there are three reflectivity classes:
RA1 – basic reflectivity
RA2 – high reflectivity
RA3 – maximum reflectivity
For example, tape with the strongest reflectivity might be too bright for indoor usage and hence not the best choice for warehouses. Whereas RA1 might be too subtle for marking hazards on a construction site.
Shape:
Reflective tapes differ in their structure and hence flexibility. For round objects like bollards, it is important to look for a thin and supple tape. Rigid tape would be hard to apply over curves and it would lose its adhesive power over time.
Colour:
We offer a great range of colours (including fluorescent), especially for the tapes you can use for leisure purposes, for example on kids bikes or helmets.
Permanent or temporary use:
Some reflective tapes are removable, others are meant for permanent use only.
