The Lincoln County Rifle Club was founded in 1933 to provide a safe and welcoming place for the shooting sports enthusiast.   Over the years we've grown from the original nine founding "fathers" to over 400 men and women from all walks of life who share a common bond.

Throughout our clubhouse and extensive grounds — through redundant warning systems, explicit firearm handling rules and thorough member range orientations — safety is our number one priority.

In the shooting sports we often compete against each other and sometimes only with ourselves but in every case the fair ethical and generous treatment of all living things is the code we live by.

We live inn increasingly complex world but our goal remains a simple one: to act responsibly at all times toward our neighbors, the larger community, the environment around us, and our fellow members.

Respect for ourselves guides our thoughts, respect for others guides our actions.  While we share a love of the shooting sports and an abiding concern for the safety of our families and our communities, we are not a political organization.

The Lincoln County Rifle Club facilities and grounds include an outdoor 300 yard rifle range, two outdoor pistol ranges, informal trapshooting in the summer months, and a seven-bay, heated indoor range primarily for .22 rifle and pistol as well as air rifle and pistol. Izaak Walton was a fisherman who lived in England over four hundred years ago. It was his namesake that our “Izaak Walton League of America” used in 1922, when it was established to help preserve our fishing streams. The Lincoln Chapter was organized soon afterwards in 1924, and has provided a conservation voice for our wildlife and natural resources for almost a decade.

Our chapter hosts conservation programs, and has some of the most active shooting sports programs available in this area. We provide the only full service shooting range within fifty miles of Lincoln. Here you will find opportunities to practice shooting skills, with pistols, rifles and shotguns, on our well-kept ranges located one-half mile south of Highway 2 on South 134th Street. At the Lincoln Ike’s, we focus on education and the experiences we provide to young and old shooters alike. We firmly believe that properly trained shooters are important to our future. We offer young hunter safety training, youth trap shooting, and other individual clinics.

Members Only Organization

Our programs operate entirely from a membership organization. To maintain the skills we learn, our current members can enjoy the privilege of using:

Rifle & Pistol Ranges:

  • 7-15-25-Yard pistol range
  • 25-50-75-Yard rifle /pistol range
  • 100-yard rifle range
  • 100-200-300-Yard supervised use rifle range (This range is only open when we have one of our Lincoln Ikes approved supervising RSOs on site.)

Automatic trap range with patterning board

  • Our current members have access to three traps most days throughout the year

Archery Range

  • Our archery range has several lanes where all of our members can hone their archery skills needed for hunting or sport.

Youth Catch & Release Fishing Pond

  • This pond is specifically for our members’ youth to catch and release fishing. Older members can fish here too as long as they are accompanying a youth 15 years of age and younger. As long as the youth has a pole in for fishing, the member can fish with them as long as they have a valid Nebraska fishing license as well.

These facilities are operated on a self-serve basis on the member’s timeframe, except when an organized event is scheduled.

We welcome non-members to participate in any number of organized shoots like CMP Rimfire Sporter matches, Lever Action Silhouette, ARA events, .22 shoots, handgun silhouettes, summer and fall trap leagues, and junior high/high school trap events.

Annual Hunter Sight-In Days hosted in the Fall

A special event takes place on the three Sundays before the start of the Nebraska Deer Rifle Season in the fall when we invite the public to our annual Hunter Sight-in Days. Qualified coaches assist hunters to obtain a zero with their rifle, which is very important to the success of their hunting season. This event is held on these scheduled dates from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Conservation Involvement

The Lincoln chapter has active members who are working hard to conserve our state’s wildlife resources with their involvement in the Nebraska Council of Sportsmen’s Clubs and the Nebraska Sportsmen’s Foundation. Our members work hard to bring our views and oversight in wildlife matters, wildlife regulations and the environment into the legislative processes.

As one of the twelve Izaak Walton League chapters across the state of Nebraska, we are proud of our conservation heritage as we make it our mission to make a difference for the wildlife and the environment.

Ladies Rifle Club Aka Rifle Range (1958)

When I came to, the first thing I felt was the weight. It was strange, but it didnt hurt at all. But I clearly felt that I was being fucked in the very anus. I was lying on my stomach, could not move, but held my hand there. So it is, they fuck me.
