kids-summer-camp-orlando

Capoeira is the Brazilian martial art that merges self-defense with acrobatics, music, dance, and culture. Summer Camp days are full of excitement where campers learn and are trained in the different aspects Capoeira has to offer all throughout the day. In addition to learning Capoeira, each day is supplemented with different games, and activities, which coincide with the theme of the week, to give your child a complete summer vacation. By the end of summer, your child will be more fit, focused, and self-confident!

Capoeira Activities

  • Movements and Self-defense Training
  • Anti-bullying & self-esteem building activities
  • Acrobatics Class: Floor and Trampoline
  • Capoeira Music Class: Your child will learn how to play three different instruments, learn songs in Portuguese, and learn a variety of rhythms.
  • Capoeira performance training
  • Capoeira and Brazilian History
  • Maculele

Additional Activities

  • Soccer, basketball, dance
  • Fun games and activities
  • Daily scholastic activities to keep the mind sharp
  • Portuguese lesson
  • Yoga and meditation
  • Art & gardening projects
  • Healthy Living Program: nutrition, exercises, mind-body-soul health

DOES YOUR CHILD HAVE ANY OF THESE CHALLENGES?

  • They are great kids but they just don’t listen, often being told to do something a hundred times before they actually do anything.
  • They’re bright and intelligent, yet have trouble paying attention at home, in school, or any important situation, even being classified as an “ADD” or “ADHD” child.
  • They are simply shy and lack the confidence and self-esteem needed to live up to their full potential.

MORE THAN JUST MARTIAL ARTS

DISCOVER THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWERS MARTIAL ARTS HAS ON CHILDREN!

Develops Character and Humanity

We all want our kids to change the world and make an impact on future generations. Through a focus on aiming and achieving goals, we teach kids to shoot for the stars and incrementally chase goals step-by-step. All while instilling values such as love, empathy, respect, humility, and discipline.

 Rewards Unbelievable Listening Skills

By learning the value of respect and humility, kids learn to listen attentively to their elders. It starts with an eagerness to learn all the cool moves and “tricks” they see their friends doing but once they realize what they can accomplish by simply paying attention they begin listening in other areas of life as well. Soon your child will value the instruction of family and teachers taking lessons straight to the heart.

 Encourages Teamwork and Socialization

Nothing unites kids better than sharing a common interest. We teach children to work together to better each other and accomplish great things. Bullying in any form is never tolerated and each child learns to embrace each other’s differences.

By putting electronics aside, kids begin to appreciate the present and interact with each other in a way unseen in today’s digital world. This alone is often our greatest accomplishment in many cases.

YOUR CHILD WILL GROW EVERYDAY

Children are like sponges. They absorb things quickly and easily – far more easily than we do as adults. In fact, parents can sometimes see a difference in their kids after just one martial arts class. Each additional class they attend increases their knowledge and growth.

Not only are they getting healthier as they learn martial arts, they’re also learning the value of self-discipline and respect. When you enroll your child in a martial arts class, you’re giving them much more than the physical skills we teach. You’re giving them the opportunity to thrive.

A CULTURE OF GROWTH

Martial Arts isn’t just an overnight solution. It’s a journey of continuous self-improvement.

Yes, your child will likely see dramatic changes in the beginning, but the real power is in their future knowledge and growth.

Each additional class not only helps your child feel healthier, it adds a sense of discipline and purpose to your child’s life as we continue to teach important life lessons and values.

“How Do I Enroll?”

  1. STEP 1:  Save your child’s spot by completing the pre-registration form online HERE

Florida Martial Arts Camps

There is no general type of martial arts camp. Each has its own focus and goals and includes distinctive excursions and activities. Lessons in leadership, balance, teamwork and respect remain constant, but some martial arts summer camps emphasize competition, and others focus on individual growth. Usually the martial arts classes are broken up with activities like swimming, museum outings or movies. Occasionally, a camp will combine martial arts classes with a variety of outdoor activities like biking, hiking and kayaking, which makes for a more intense program. The classes themselves tend to combine techniques from the martial arts world, although there are some martial arts camps designed for development in a specific art, such as karate or aikido.

Learning Skills: In addition to self defense, martial arts teach respect, discipline and confidence, which are important skills for kids to learn to help them in their school lives as well as their family and social lives. Healthy living, including exercising, stretching, drinking plenty of water and eating healthy food, is also emphasized in the martial arts.

Medical Considerations: Your child should be in good condition for physical exercise, as martial arts training involves much physical strength and endurance. Make sure to advise the instructors if your child has any health problems such as asthma or mitral valve prolapse.
