Flower Review: Venom OG (Green Label Grinders)

By Oliver Stacks

Remember Venom? The alien-symbiote from Spider-Man?

Venom was always one of my favorite characters. In the comics, he was written as an allegory for the dark side of power that Peter’s Uncle Ben so famously warned him about.

I always enjoyed seeing Spider-Man go up against a bigger, badder, darker, shapeshifter version of himself. Seeing Spider-Man take down, and sometimes even manipulate for his own gain, his biggest demon made for some pretty memorable stories. And the wild, lively art style deployed by the artist of the day made for some of the best character designs you could find. Venom OG is no different.

Like it’s namesake, Venom OG has a super power blast behind its sleek and discrete high. Like Peter (arguably the true first Venom) and Eddie Brock (the Venom most people know), expect an uncharacteristically high level of energy and euphoria that pushes you to new heights you previously might not reach.

My Venom OG came from Green Label Grinders, what is, for me, the finest purveyor of Initiative-71 cannabis products in Washington, DC.

You can also expect to feel like you weigh a thousand pounds, but like Venom, you’ll barely care.

There’s a limey taste from the first hit, and I felt high about 5-6 minutes in. I felt a deep magnetic pulling sensation in my upper oral palate moving into the pleural space of my lungs; it was like a black hole opened up inside my respiratory system. Is this what it’s like to have an fluid alien parasite invade every pore of your body?

The back of my eyes started to feel stimulated, and I was suddenly very aware of the fluid volume in the tissue of my head. My lips started to feel puffy and hyperesthetic to the slightest added moisture.

In anticipation of the body high to come, I got up and tried to make the most of my newfound stimulation.

I spent the next 20 minutes organizing my apartment, feeling very productive and focused.

Half an hour in, the facial numbness was still going strong, and my productivity began veering into hyperactivity.

The next day I gave it another run in cotton mallow papers with some oil over it and a terpene filter.

The flower looked great in the clear papers and it burned perfectly. The sugary material from the cotton mallow added a fun complement to the citrusy flavor, although everything was a little muted by the structure of the joint. The filter overpowers some of the more subtle flavors of the flower and the oil adds a strong force multiplier to the THC.

On its own, Venom OG carried a well rounded body heavy high with significant intellectual effects.

It’s a great strain to break out if you feel like getting stuff done at the end of the day while guaranteeing a great night of sleep.

You can get yours, along with other fantastic premium flower, at Green Label Grinders.

Green Poison feminized seeds

Shows Off Her Award Winning Buds Straight Away

Green Poison is one of the best cannabis strains created by Sweet Seeds. It is a well-known hybrid that has won many prizes over the years in Europe and Latin America. A special detail about this strain is that it begins to bloom immediately, showing its beautiful buds from the beginning.

Green Poison is heavy on the Indica genes, with 70% and, therefore, has the form of a typical Indica-dominant plant. It has abundant buds covered in pleasant smelling resin and many surrounding leaves. However, this plant has 30% Sativa genes and for an experienced eye, this might be evident in its strong stem and branches. Green Poison rewards you with an amazing production of yield, netting you 500-650g/m2 when cultivated indoors and 500-700g/plant outdoors, that you can enjoy just 49 days after sprouting. What makes this plant suitable for any grower in any environment is its immunity to strong humidity, which makes it extremely resistant to molds and pest attacks.

  • This plant’s THC content is 15-20% with a negligible CBD of 0.9%.
  • Lighting: 150W FL during vegetation on an 18hr schedule, moving to 250W HID during flowering on a 12hr schedule.
  • Recommended Nutrients: Atami, Cellmax, Bio Nova, Advanced Hydroponics of Holland.
  • Techniques: LST and topping to increase bud production. Main-lining can be used to increase colas.
  • The best time to gather the crops is early autumn.

Running Deep Inside Your Brain

Green Poison might be green but it's certainly not a poison. This plant has won the award for the best Indica of the year multiple times, thanks to her exceptional sweet scent mixed with earthy tones and a fruity and citrus flavor. Consumption may lead to intense joy, body lightness and sleep.

This strain is simply delicious! It will definitely get you very nicely high, just about 10/15 mins after you smoke it. That’s a pungent one! It will fill wherever you smoke it with a heavy but sweet, herbal smell. The effects come in stages: first, it will make you very happy and euphoric, with great giggles. About 30mins later, a relaxing sensation will kick in and your body will feel heavier but tingly and when you least expect, you’ll find yourself being practically swallowed by the sofa! Great to just get rid of that stress after a long day at work. I cannot forget about the crazy munchies hahahahaha! My suggestion is to always have a big bowl of fresh fruits next to you (they will taste amazing!) Highly recommend!

    • Advantages

This one of my favorite strains.

    • Disadvantages

    • General impressions

It's an incredible mix that I started growing after my second harvest, and though I have tried many other strains since then, I keep growing this one. I find this plant the most balanced for a small grower. # Smoke The taste is exquisite, it's quite earthy but with an explosion of fruity tastes when exhaling. The effect is very good for my anxiety issues, it's a little numbing at times, specially if you put too much in a joint. # Grow (indoor) Although it's an indica dominant, it has two main phenotypes that both show very strong sativa traits. The pheno I call "Giant" is 10 inch more than the regular one, the taste is more aggressive and the yield is higher. But it can take up to 10 weeks to fully finish flowering, compared to the 7 weeks of the regular one. The giant could turn out to be excellent for outdoor. The only tricky thing is humidity control and not overdosing the nuts.

Growing Green Poison From Seed

If Green Poison Photo Fem is the strain you have chosen to grow from seed, we congratulate you on your fine choice. The shorter flower cycle makes Green Poison a fantastic strain for outdoor grows in northern latitudes and higher elevations. Providing extra minerals and trace elements will boost the overall health of the plant and is, in most cases, necessary in cannabis cultivars. If you opt for inside, cleanliness is critical to insuring against pest infestations, and ample airflow is a must. High light levels are also part of growing a good bud, and this one requires eighteen hours of light per day for vegging cycles and twelve hours of light per day for flowering cycles. Starting humidity at seventy percent for seedlings and dropping it throughout development to around forty percent for the final stages of flower will better mimic nature, boosting bud health.

Is Green Poison Photoperiod Feminized Easy To Grow At Home?

Landrace crosses always deliver the best weed, and these Fem Seeds are simple to manage in any space. The home grow is a good idea for anyone wanting control over what they put in their body. It is ideal for those attempting to save money, and for those who just enjoy the hobby. If the many responsibilities of a sea rotation are off your radar, try topping, bending, and tying your way through a Screen of Green (ScrOG). If you opt for the open air, start trees inside a few weeks early so they can get at least one topping in before the weather is warm enough. Those living in the south won’t have to worry about it but, no matter what, full sun all season is necessary to bag the buds you hope for. Adding mycorrhizae to the soil will vastly improve cation exchange. Have fun, watch for trichome health and keep growing!

Green Sativa’s Top Ten Sativa Strains Picks

Posted on by admin

Top Sativa Strains | Green Sativa

Cannabis connoisseurs know that the differences between different strains of cannabis go much deeper than just indica strains, hybrid strains, and sativa strains. Those enthusiasts take the time to learn more about terpenes and cannabinoids so they can really dive into the science behind this plant. For most people, though, it’s enough to think about strains in terms of indicas, sativas, and hybrids.

If you’re relatively new to cannabis, or if you just don’t want to take the time to get bogged down with details, it may be helpful to think about it this way:

  • Sativas are associated with uplifting, energizing effects.
  • People think of indicas as having relaxing effects that make you sleepy.
  • Hybrids are more balanced, though some can lean more toward either the indica or sativa side of things.

As mentioned above, knowing whether a strain is indica, sativa, or hybrid won’t give you a complete understanding of its characteristics. Still, it can be a good starting point. If you’re pretty sure that sativa strains appeal to you the most, learn about 10 of the best sativa options to get a better understanding of some of the nuances between them. With that in mind, here are some of our favorites, which are generally considered to be among the best sativa strains of all time:

1 – Green Crack

This sativa strain has been around for a while, so we’re not exactly sure which other strains contributed to its lineage. That’s not exactly uncommon among strains that were developed underground. Our best guess at this time is that it may be the product of an Afghani landrace strain that was bred with Skunk #1, but there’s just no saying for sure. Either way, we’re glad that this strain exists because it’s one of the more popular sativas in the world.

Green Crack has a flavor profile that includes notes of tropical fruits like mangos and oranges. It’s said to produce very energetic effects, starting with a cerebral rush. From there, people might feel a pleasant buzz throughout the body as well.

2 – Durban Poison

The genetic roots of this strain can be traced back to South Africa. Durban Poison is a heavy hitter, which definitely helps keep things interesting. A puff or two might make you feel like you’re ready to take on the day, while a bit more might stick you to the couch and make you feel powerless to get anything done. Some people are surprised to hear that about a sativa strain, but we’ve heard many people say that a good amount of Durban Poison does put them to sleep. If you want to feel uplifted and creative, it’s probably best to take things slowly with this particular sativa.

3 – Super Silver Haze

This is one of the most well-known daytime strains for people who sometimes have a little bit of trouble getting up and getting moving. It’s definitely associated with an energy rush, which means you better have an activity planned, or you may start to feel restless. It definitely has potential as a wake and bake strain. Its genetics from Shiva Skunk, Northern Lights #5, and Haze give it a pleasant flavor profile of earthy citrus.

4 – Sour Diesel

Sour Diesel is one of the more famous strains in the world, and it isn’t too hard to see why. It’s said to be an accidental cross between Chemdog 91 and Super Skunk, and oh, what a happy accident it is! It’s said to make people feel relaxed and hazy, but not down and out. As the name implies, this strain smells like gas.

5 – Tangie

Tangie is said to be a mix of some sort of Skunk hybrid with either California Orange or Tangerine Dream. However this strain came to be, it’s definitely loaded with terpenes that give it a citrus smell and taste. A small amount might make you feel alert and awake, but one puff too many will put you into a heavy haze. Treat this one with respect.

6 – Strawberry Cough

It gets its name from the sweet smell of berries that has made it famous. This is a good option for people who like fruity cannabis strains and sativa effects. Said to be a cross between Strawberry Fields and Haze, Strawberry Cough is a popular choice among people who like to smoke before creative pursuits.

7 – Blue Dream

Here’s another sativa dominant strain that uses some genetics from Haze, this time combining it with Blueberry. Blue Dram has some sweet berry notes, but that isn’t what makes it famous. Fans of this strain often say it soothes their body and mind while also making them feel alert. The combination of relaxation and energy appeals to many people who say they want to get things done but still have a nice time.

8 – Trainwreck

This strain gets its name because of how hard it hits. It’s known for creating both a head high and an uplifting body high. This makes it popular for people who want to feel alert, creative, and physically awesome. Don’t overdo it, though, or the euphoria might give way to a bout of dizziness in a hurry.

9 – Maui Wowie

This classic sativa strain is one of the most popular on the list. It’s a cross between Hawaiian and another unknown strain. As you might expect, based on the name, this sativa offers tropical notes like pineapple that make it a delight to smoke. It’s said that these sativa plants first grew in the volcanic soil of Hawaii. As a pure sativa with high THC levels, it’s a definite winner.

10 – Jack Herer

This is a prototypical sativa strain, and many say it might be the best ever grown. Buy Jack Herer if you want to feel an absolute rush that gets you energized and excited for a wide variety of activities. This strain is often associated with uplifting feelings that include inspiration and creativity. People often choose this strain when they want to wake and bake before being productive all day. It’s also a popular choice before outdoor activities like going for a long hike or even a run.

Jack Herer is named after the author and cannabis activist Jack Herer, who is famous for writing the book The Emperor Wears No Clothes. The man is impressive, and so is the strain. It was created by combining a Haze hybrid with a cross between Shiva Skunk and Northern Lights #5. It has a delicious aroma of pine needles mixed with black pepper spices. This strain is tough to beat if you’re looking for a sativa, so it’s a great starting point to help you find out if sativa strains are for you.

With a strong, physical stone, Green Poison provides everything you’d expect from an indica strain of its caliber. Most users detect and almost instant physical stone that leaves them feeling very relaxed. This, combined with a powerful euphoria, makes for an extremely fun smoke that ultimately leaves you feeling happy, relaxed, and probably a little hungry.

Green Poison’s effects are best described as heavy, meaning it's probably best to use this strain at night or other times where you don’t have to handle any major task or remain productive. While the THC levels of this strain are average, it is still recommended that you take it easy with this one and prepare for getting slightly couchlocked.

The effects of Green Poison aren’t just for recreational users. Medical patients often turn to this strain for fast-acting relief from a wide variety of conditions and symptoms. For example, many find the strong indica body stone to be effective at relieving pain or symptoms of insomnia and other sleep-related issues. Many patients also turn to Green Poison for stress relief or to tackle muscle spasms. Finally, this strain is also well-known as a great appetite stimulant.

The aromas and flavours of Green Poison are very unique. This strain produces a very potent aroma that can easily stink out an entire room. The smells of Green Poison are generally characterized by sweet citrus tones. This will vary obviously depending on the exact phenotype of the strain, with some users also detecting notes of chili, spice, wood, and herbs.

Green Poison displays typical indica grow traits. It grows well both indoors and out, but is slightly susceptible to mold and fungi due to its short internodal spacing and tendency to become big and bushy. Nonetheless, in prime conditions these plants are capable of producing huge yields that easily top 600gr/m2 indoors and 700 grams per plant outdoors. Best of all, flowering time is only about 7 weeks, after which you’ll be rewarded with heavy and dense nuggets that pack a big indica punch.

She probably guessed that her childishly rounded shapes make an indelible impression on men. A short skirt revealed knees covered with white tights, and a small black T-shirt began above the navel and bulged with elastic girlish nipples. The hair this time was smoothly combed, and a neat makeup was guessed on the face.

- Good evening, Uncle Seryozha, the young creature chirped and fluttered into the apartment without an invitation.

Entered my dad's room: - Dad, listen. - What, Romchik. Father was sitting in an armchair, tall, stately, and with his glasses pushed to his nose, he was reading a newspaper. Well, okay, why be afraid. Dad is an intelligent man.
