My Hero Academia: 10 Best Pro Heroes, Ranked By Usefulness

The Pro Heroes of the My Hero Academia universe are responsible for keeping the civilians safe, training the new generation, and making sure the villains do not hurt anyone. While all the Pro Heroes have diverse sets of skills and are useful in their own ways, there are some who outshine the others.

There is already a Pro Hero ranking system in the My Hero Academia lore, but strength does not always equal usefulness, as fans see time and time again throughout the show.

10 Ryukyu's Powers Include More Than Just Changing Size Like Mt. Lady

Mt. Lady may be able to grow to great proportions, but Ryukyu is ranked number 9, with a more diverse set of skills. Ryukyu, also known as Ryuko Tatsuma, can transform into a giant dragon, and though it is not the size of Mt. Lady, it can fly.

Her claws and bite attacks are powerful, and she has extra defensive power when she transforms. With size, strength, durability, and flight on her side, it is no wonder she has climbed her way into the Pro Hero scale's top ten.

9 Gran Torino's Speed Is Still Formidable

Gran Torino may be old, but All Might and Izuku Midoriya's former mentor is still not to be underestimated. He not only brings a Quirk with both offensive capabilities and an agility level that makes him near untouchable, but he also brings multiple generations' worth of experience.

Even though he is getting old and his power levels are fading, he is a priceless well of knowledge, especially as the heroes go forth fighting villains like All for One.

8 Sir Nighteye's Clairvoyant Abilities Are Useful In Many Ways

Before his death, Sir Nighteye was a hero with one of the most useful Quirks around. It was so useful, in fact, that he was able to become All Might's sidekick. His Quirk, Foresight, allowed him to see the future.

RELATED: My Hero Academia: 5 Most Overrated Students (& 5 Underrated)

This is what made Sir Nighteye so worried, as he saw what was to come in All Might's future, and it disturbed him. Still, if Sir Nighteye were still alive, he would still hold his place as one of the most useful heroes in the My Hero Academia universe.

7 Mirko's Rabbit Legs Have A Variety Of Uses

Rumi Usagiyama, also known by her hero name, Mirko, is an incredibly buff hero with rabbit-like powers. She can jump to astonishing heights, she has a kick so powerful it can cause massive destruction, and she has super speed and agility to boot.

Mirko ranks at number 5 on the Pro Hero list, and she lives up to that ranking by stopping villains and Nomu with ease. With her can-do attitude and fiery fighting spirit, she is certainly a Pro Hero many would not want to cross paths with.

6 Eraserhead's Abilities Will Come In Hand With Characters Like Eri

Shouta Aizawa is not only the homeroom teacher for class 1-A at UA, a class that is famous for producing the best Pro Heroes, but he is also a Pro Hero with an incredibly useful Quirk. He can use his eyes to erase a person's Quirk until he blinks.

That combined with his impressive combat skills and Binding Cloth make him one of the scariest heroes out there. With Quirks like that of Overhaul's and Eri's, it is useful to have a hero like Aizawa around.

5 Hawks Can Do More Than Just Fly, & He Is Super Fast At That

Hawks jumped up to the number two spot, trailing behind Endeavor since All Might's retirement. With his feathery red wings, he is able to fly at incredible speeds, but this is not all he can do. He can also take and morph his feathers into deadly weapons, thus bringing a level of offensive power that he otherwise would not have if his Quirk were solely limited to high-speed flying.

With all that power, it is easy to see how he has made it so high on the Pro Hero ranking, but he still has a long way to go to reach the top.

4 Kamui Woods' Quirk Can Fight, Defend, & Subdue

Kamui Woods is a younger hero with a Quirk that can serve a multitude of functions. He can trap enemies with his malleable wood, and he can pack a punch with it too. Furthermore, he can use the wood as a shield, allowing him to defend both himself and others.

RELATED: My Hero Academia: 10 Pro Heroes Who Don't Deserve Their Licenses

Kamui Woods is a force to be reckoned with, as is illustrated by his position as the 7th ranked Hero. As a Pro Hero, he has a lot of potential, especially with All Might's retirement and Endeavor's questionable current power levels.

3 Edge Shot Can Be Dangerous & Covert

Edge Shot can squeeze into tiny spaces, wrap around his enemies, and make his body into a sharp and dangerous weapon. Though he lacks the raw power of some of the more explosive heroes like Endeavor, his stealth combined with the versatility of his Quirk make him useful in almost any situation.

On top of that, just because an attack does not create a spectacle does not mean it is not powerful and dangerous. Edge Shot teaches fans that when he confronts the League of Villains.

2 All Might Will Always Be The Symbol Of Peace

Until his retirement after passing on his Quirk to Izuku Midoriya, All Might was unbeatable. There was no barrier he could not break and no villain he could not subdue. Even when his powers began to wane, he was still the Number One Pro Hero.

Though he is not so prominent since his retirement, he was the most useful hero before, and his passing on One for All in conjunction with his training Midoriya makes him all-around the most useful character.

1 Endeavor Has The Power To Take Over For All Might

Once All Might had to retire, a new Pro Hero had to take over the number one spot, and that was the long-time number two hero, Endeavor, or Enji Todoroki. While he has some big shoes to fill, he is one of the only Pro Heroes with the firepower needed to go toe-to-toe with some of the big villains in the series.

While his personal life and personality have flaws, he is on his way to understanding the meaning of being a true hero, and the other Pro Heroes will need his guidance in All Might's absence.
