Nut mix costco

Delicious and addictive, the perfect bar nut mix from Costco to enjoy as a snack or with cocktails!

I love a good snack mix to enjoy with a Ron’s Cadillac Margarita on the weekend! I’ve been eyeing this Savanna Orchards Country Club Nut Mix for a while but just haven’t ever picked it up to try.

Some of my favorite snacks from Costco include the Costco Kirkland Signature Peanut Butter Pretzels,Angies Boom Chicka Pop Popcorn, Kirkland Signature Kettle Brand Himalayan Sea Salt Crinkle Cut Potato Chips and the Snack Factory White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel Crisps (although these are only available at Christmas).

You can find the Savanna Orchards Country Club Nut Mix near the front of the store, in the snack section at Costco. The item number is 1412162.

I liked this mix, it’s salty with a good amount of sweetness as well as addictive. If you’re not a fan of peanuts you may want to skip this mix as every bite has peanut flavor. There’s extra large Virginia peanuts, honey roasted peanuts, pistachios, cashews and almonds. There’s also honey coated sesame sticks that are thick and crunchy as well as sweet & salty.

I will say, there’s a ton of peanuts in this mix, way more peanuts than the other nuts. There isn’t an even distribution of nuts like in the Costco Kirkland Signature Premium Quality Whole Mixed Nuts.

I paid $14.99 Canadian for the 1.02 kg tub of country club mix. Not exactly cheap but also not at all overpriced in my opinion.

The best before date is about 10 months from the date we purchased the nut mix. This is a perfect snack to have before dinner, while watching a movie or with cocktails! I also think it would be pretty popular at a party.

This mix is not gluten free but it does appear to be vegan! Peanuts is the first ingredient listed which doesn’t surprise me. This mix is what I refer to as a “dangerous snack” because it’s really easy to eat a lot of it and a small amount is high in calories and fat.

One third of a cup is 280 calories, 23 grams of fat, 15 grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, five grams of sugar, 12 grams of protein and 270 mg of sodium.

Give it a try!

If you’re a snack mix fan like I am I definitely recommend picking this up at Costco. Just be aware that it’s addictive!

Have you tried this? What did you think of it?

This Costco Snack Is Getting Mixed Reviews From Keto Dieters

There are few things that you can't find at Costco, even the seemingly impossible. The warehouse has a new Keto Trail Mix, and while some shoppers are excited to try it, others are skeptical.

Instagrammer @costco_doesitagain recently shared the Dark Chocolate & Coconut Keto Trail Mix from Hoody's to their more than 980,000 followers. The 29-ounce tubs cost $13.99, but the price isn't what has some people on the fence about it.

Inside you'll find a mix of almonds, coconut macaroon flavored almonds, dark chocolate drops, dried coconut, and macadamia nuts. One serving has 6 grams of net carbs, which is a little high for some who closely follow the high-fat, low-carb keto diet. (Related: Costco Foods You Should Always Avoid, According to Nutritionists)

"It's yummy, but 6 [grams of] carbs is a lot for the serving size," one commenter said. Even with coconut and nuts, which are high in healthy fats, "this is not for the strict keto," another pointed out. But others aren't letting that keep them away from this "dangerous" (read: hard to resist!) food for chocoholics and snackers.

Trail mix hasn't always had a good reputation, even though it was created to keep your energy up while hiking on literal trails. Thanks to a variety of innovations, this snack can actually be pretty healthy as long as you make or select the right one to eat. Trail mix and mixed nuts are truly underrated snack foods. They last a super long time, they're healthy, and they give you a burst of energy. What could be better? Apparently Costco has gotten the memo because they just released the holy grail of snack boxes for trail mix fans.

It’s called the Kirkland Signature Variety Snack Box, and it was spotted by Instagram account @CostcoGuy4U. “Perfect Timing Costco! Hot & New Item,” he wrote in the caption. “All your favorites in one box."

Our Favorite Costco Nuts to Buy in Bulk

Published on January 18, 2021

By Tami Weiser

When it comes to nuts, freshness is key for both nutrition and taste. And the simplest way to guarantee freshness is to buy where tons of nuts are routinely sold, so you have the fastest inventory turnover. That makes Costco a very good bet — just think of the sheer volume of nuts they must sell!

Of course, another thing Costco has going for it is consistently-accessible prices. And, so long as you store them properly, buying those giant canisters doesn’t have to mean you’ll be eating nuts day and night. Store them well and you’ll be enjoying fresh and cheap nuts for months.

1. Kirkland Signature Unsalted Extra-Fancy Mixed Nuts, $17.50 for 2.5 lbs.

This collection features a diversity of flavors and textures, which is so often what you want when you go to grab a handful of nuts. With no sodium, no trans fats, no cholesterol, and no added sugars, you can gobble without guilt — and know that you’re also getting some protein, fiber, and iron, to boot.

2. Kirkland Signature Walnuts, $13 for 3 lbs.

High in omega-3s and low in saturated fat, walnuts are one of the healthiest nuts you can eat. For some, they can be a bit bitter (it’s the skin, which is high in flavonoids) — although, interestingly you’ll often find walnuts in recipes with other bitter foods, like chocolate and bitter greens. Costco walnuts are from California, which is the principal growing region for walnuts in the U.S., and they are English walnuts, which are considered to be less bitter. Personally, we find them to be meaty, sustaining, and ideal for adding heft, crunch, and depth to sides, salads, muffins, and more.

3. Kirkland Signature Pecan Halves, $12 for 2 lbs.

In the South, pecans (it’s puh-KAHN not PEE-can, if you please) are queen. Relative to other nuts, they’re softer, with a rich and creamy texture and a delicate sweetness. But rest assured, there’s just one gram of sugar per serving. In fact, pecans have the lowest carbs per serving, the most fiber per serving, and more flavonoids than any other nut. They’re a also good source of hearty-healthy fats and zinc. They are terrific when you’re craving something sweet, toasted and added to a salads, or soaked to make one heck of creamy milk or custard base (like cashews, but sweeter and deeper in flavor).

4. Kirkland Signature Supreme Whole Almonds, $13 for 3 lbs.

For just over $4 dollars per pound, you get large, plump almonds with a whopping 6 grams of protein per serving. They’re also high in vitamin E and a good source of calcium, iron and potassium. Eating a few midday may help balance your blood sugar, so reach for these when you get the afternoon munchies.

5. Kirkland Signature Organic Whole Cashews, $20 for 2.5 lbs.

Cashews make the most incredible, satisfying, and creamy milks, creams, and cheese. Their mild flavor makes them easy to love at any age — not to mention they’re a good source of copper, magnesium, and manganese.

Costco Shoppers Can't Get Enough Of This Classic Kirkland Trail Mix

The ingredients for Costco's classic Kirkland Signature Trail Mix are largely as you might expect: nuts, raisins, and chocolate. Clearly anyone with a nut allergy should avoid the mix at all costs. A post on Reddit a month ago noted that the mix has also been reformulated somewhat and that there are now also peanut M&Ms, though not reflected (yet) in the packaging's art (via Eat This, Not That!).

Some might be surprised to know this snack is listed as Kosher on the Costco website (via Costco). Those with allergies should be aware, however, that the product is packaged in a facility that also contains wheat and eggs. There are about 60 quarter-cup servings per bag, which yields about 160 calories per serving.

And when it comes to eating, everyone has their own method. Says fan tahoeparis, "I set aside the M&Ms (mostly) and give them to guys in the office. I'm more about the salty nuts and sweet raisins!" while another fan, yusuphysique, shared, "All the mms are gone already lol and then the almonds!" Meanwhile, user abandhanship added, "i take out all the raisins first."

However you eat them, this Costco find seems like a pretty good deal and a longtime favorite. Sometimes classics are the best.
