Street Fighter as a property has run through more crossovers than we can count at this point, but there's still a few that certainly stand out among the sea of others out there.

The Battle Cats mobile game, also known as Nyanko Daisensou in Japan, announced a special Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition crossover event that'll bring in much of the world warriors in both human and silly cat forms.

Players will be able to obtain Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Zangief, Blanka, Dhalsim, Ken, M. Bison, Vega and Balrog as Uber Rare unlocks in their human form while Akuma is Legend Rare.

As for the round cat versions, Ryu, Chun-Li, M. Bison, Balrog and Vega can stumble their way across stages which is both cute and a little weird to see.

What's even more weird, however, is Akuma turns into a giraffe for some reason.

This is actually a follow-up to last year when Ponos and Capcom teamed up originally for an Arcade Edition event, and they've come back now to add in more content including M. Bison and his generals. Ryu can apparently be upgraded into Kage now as well.

Battle Cats is something of a tower defense game where players build up armies of goofy feline fighters to clear stages and unlock even more powerful cats.

While there are some standard classes you'd expect in a game like this with knight cats and ninjas, but most of the roster is a bit off-the-wall with inclusions like Bondage Cat and Mythical Titan Cat.

You can check out the announcement trailer and some screenshots for the new Street Fighter crossover below, but be warned it may be hard to put down the game once you download it as somebody speaking with a little experience from the last one.

Strategy/Usage

Much like Zeus, Ryu is a good generalist against all enemies due to his high range and health. However, unlike Zeus, he has a rapid attack rate, being able to attack without the risk of being knocked back, even if the damage is low. His damage is accentuated further with his Savage Blow. While low at 15% (20% in True Form), his fast attack rate makes up for it.

True Form

Kage has a slightly longer attack animation, making his DPS a little worse, but nothing too major. In exchange, he gains a 5% increased chance for doing a Savage Blow and an increase in attack power at 40% health, making his (potential) DPS higher than even Eva Unit 01's in his own strengthen. Keep in mind even with the better chance of Savage Blow, it's still luck based if it occurs or not, so it's better to boost him with Catseyes if you wish to make him your generalist uber.

Onmyoji Cat is a useful cat to have, especially in Empire of Cats and Into the Future.
