5 most beautiful Minecraft seeds of all time
Minecraft seeds give players the opportunity to decide what they exactly want their world to look like, and there are many beautiful seeds out there.
Minecraft seeds are defined as strings of letters or numbers that determine which Minecraft world will generate. Depending on the version a seed is made for, any player who enters the same seed will get the exact same world to generate.
There are millions of seed variations out there, so it can be hard to choose just one. Some seeds spawn lots of villages and caves, while others are lonely islands.
This article shares a compiled list of the five most beautiful seeds in Minecraft.
5 most beautiful seeds in Minecraft
#5 - 1777181425785

#4 - 3427891657823464
The rolling hills of this seed is truly what makes this seed beautiful. The snowy mountain background with the winding river would be a gorgeous view for any player's survival world.
#3 - 9816485297234
Who wouldn't want to spawn in a field of bright, yellow sunflowers? In this seed, players spawn right in the middle of a sunflower plains biome, and there's even a beehive on a tree not too far away.
#2 - 376042977865450385
Want to start a new survival world, but aren't sure which biome to start in? This is the perfect seed for any player who seems to have that problem. In this seed, players will spawn in the middle of over six different biomes.
#1 - 2945671375784082726
In this seed, players will spawn in a rare biome, a mushroom field biome, right on the edge of a taiga biome. Along with that, the mushroom fields are surrounded by bright blue oceans.

Best Minecraft Seeds 2021 | Top worlds to play right now
Minecraft seeds are a numerical code which represent the foundations of your world. When creating a new Minecraft adventure, you can type in a seed to either control the type of world you spawn into, or perhaps just write some random digits and see what you get.
No matter what kind of starting area you prefer, there’s bound to be a seed for you; there are craggy icebergs, lofty clifftops, sprawling villages. Some seeds will offer a challenge, others are ideal for new players. We’ve even got some gorgeous scenery, too.

How to use Minecraft seeds
The seeds we’ve got here for you are best used in the latest version of the Java client (1.16). You can use them in other versions or on console platforms, however you may not see the features we highlight.
To use a seed, simply select the option to create a new world and head into ‘more options’. Scroll down to the Seed field and then enter your seed value, which you can find examples of below. Type out your seed, making sure to include the minus symbol if there is one. And away you go!
Best Minecraft Seeds to play in 2021
Archipelago challenge - Seed: -376100066742686
Water, water, everywhere and not a drop to drink. That’s your challenge here, should you choose to accept it.
Whichever direction you choose, you’ll find either ocean or a small island as part of this huge archipelago. It’ll be a real challenge to not only survive here but use it as a base for adventure.
Don’t be too discouraged, though. Once you start dipping below the tides, there are several monuments to pillage.
Badlands village - Seed: 047516539007811
There is definitely gold in them there hills. The Badlands, once known as the Mesa, is brimming over in gold ore.
You can’t swing a cat without it digging out some shiny nuggets. With the extreme hills, there are plenty of great places to build and just nearby there’s a desert village.
A fantastic seed for mining!
Perfect starter - Seed: -192557461039094
This seed is an ideal starting area for a proper Minecraft adventure. Just north of the spawn is a village and north-west of that is a desert temple.
With these close to hand, you’ll have an easy time starting off a farm and storing items. Being so close to a forest full of mushrooms, food and building supplies are within reach.
Plus, you’ve got lots of tall hills if you want to craft some epic landmarks.
I hate sand - Seed: 012867540840309
A challenging seed, this one. You’ll spawn into a desert surrounded by more deserts and the odd savannah.
Every cardinal direction does hold a village or a temple though, so if you love exploring, this is the seed for you.
Sand everywhere, it’s irritating. Head due west for a little pocket flower forest appearing like an oasis.
Ice, Ice, Baby - Seed: 488612821391343
This land-locked seed doesn’t have a great deal of water, but there’s plenty of ice and snow.
Spawning literally on the edge of a forest, turning left and there’s ice as far as the eye can see.
Don’t let that put you off, as a farming village is within spitting distance with lots of flat land for a great home base.
Mushrooms - Seed: -6316420307748711466
Mushroom biomes are quite rare in Minecraft.
Not here though. Not only will you spawn directly into a mushroom biome, but the landmass is shaped like a doughnut with a lake in the middle. Of course, there aren’t many useable materials in reach, but it’s a nicely unique seed.
See if you can find an elusive Mooshroom.
Island village - Seed: -376042977865450385
Always great to spawn in the middle of a village. With this seed, you’ll appear in a village on an island.
The village is the only thing on this starting island, which makes for an idyllic setting. The sea spikes upwards with icebergs and in the distance a mushroom biome sprouts.
If you can get your hands on a silktouch pickaxe, why not craft a base from the ice?!
Welcome to my crib – Seed: -1895633766085719173
The first thing you see when you spawn into this seed is a mansion. These huge buildings are home to some of the nastiest enemies and the best treasures in Minecraft.
This mansion borders a village and extensive forest, too. Grab those weapons early, break into the massive house and start looting!
Are you afraid of the dark? – Seed: 8396563999314358008
Just a few paces away from the initial spawn is this monumental cave, perfect for crafty builders. As you can see, in front of the cave is a ruined nether portal which can be completed as soon as you have a diamond pickaxe.
Not far behind this cavernous mountain is a pillage outpost, too. So this seed gives you a little bit of everything.
The best Minecraft seeds Java Edition - PC
Weirdo Living in a Hole (1.13)
You know the saying living under a rock? The saying’s about this guy. His name is Bruce, he’s a librarian, and he lives in a villager house which, for some reason, is in a ravine. I once asked him if he thought Apex Legends is better than Fortnite and he told me he’d never heard of either them. Getting a house to spawn in a ravine is pretty rare, so if you want to evict him, no one will hold it against you.
Swampy Village (1.13)
The best thing about swamp spawns is how even a crappy four-by-four wooden hut will look amazing in them. What makes this spawn even better is the nearby village situated to the right. Sadly there isn’t a Greggs there so you’ll have to satisfy your hunger by eating brown swamp mush, or as they call it in the real world, McDonald’s.
The Snowpocalypse 1.13
Post-Christmas blues got you down? If you’re over 30, the answer is ‘no’. If not, this seed is a wintery wonderland filled with creepers to sleighs, but only if you’ve got the jingle bells to face them head on. If you’re looking to suit up before the Christmassy carnage begins, there’s also a rather handy igloo full of outdated Christmas puns to loot.
It’s High Noon…
There aren’t enough cowboy-themed builds in Minecraft. Sure there’s the pretty excellent Dustville paid map on Bedrock, but players tend to stick to modern or medieval themes when building. If you feel a bit anarchistic and want to go against the grain, this seed spawns you right next to some badlands that would be perfect for creating a blockier version of Rockstar’s cowboy simulator.
Jurassic in the Dark 1.12
Remember when everyone was excited about fossils? Me neither, but if you’re feeling the urge to become a palaeontologist, this seed spawns you right near a ravine. Carefully scale down said ravine and when you reach the darkened area you’ll spot yourself a pearly-white fossil. Just make sure you bring torches with you if you want to see what you’re doing.
Lonely Landscape 1.12
File this one under ‘Island Retreat’. What makes this such a good pick is the size of the island - not too big that it ends up being just another clump of land, and not too small that all you can put on it is a piddly little dirt hut. Plus, having that many trees available is also pretty handy.
Ravishing Ravine 1.13
How you finding Update Aquatic? Good, yeah? Cool. We’ve covered a few different aquatic seeds so far, but for the ultimate challenge, this seed puts all your skills to the test. Can you survive the (really, really) deep ravine and live to tell the tale? Will you succumb to the seemingly infinite darkness that consumes the depths? Probably, to be fair, but it’s still worth trying.
Lost in the Woods 1.12
Now I'm the king of the swingers, oh, the jungle VIP. I've reached the top and had to stop because my food bar depleted and I starved. Sometimes starting against the odds, in this case, lost in an ample forest, brings its own kind of excitement. Crank up the difficulty, too, and you’ve got a recipe for a real challenge. Ohhhhh, oobee doo, I wanna murder you-hoo-hoo.
Ice-olated Island 1.13
Another island for you, but this time with a twist. It’s a nicely-sized island, sure, but surrounding it is a deathbed of icebergs. Not only is it rather striking, but the possibilities for what you could build are also endless. I’m pretty sure with enough ice blocks you could easily turn these ‘bergs into a surrounding wall. Try sailing a boat through that without it turning to splinters.
Titanic 2: Sink Harder (1.13)
With this seed you’ll spawn on an island surrounded by icebergs. But don’t get too comfy up in here, because if you turn 180 degrees and dive into the water you’ll be treated to a shipwreck and the chance of loot. This seed is pretty much the sequel to Titanic you never knew you wanted.
Mansion Fight Club (1.12)
For those looking to get into a scrap the second they spawn, this seed dumps you in a world near a mansion. Trek through the jungle and you’ll find this wooden deathbed waiting for you on the other side. Just keep an eye out for the illagers (not a typo) running the place. And maybe arm yourself before you go in?
Don’t Look Down (1.12)
Want excitement mixed with a smattering of death from the off? Look no further. Turn from the spawn and you’ll find yourself a deep ravine. Not only that, but there’s also a broken mineshaft that hasn’t spawned in correctly. How you’ll get down to it is anyone’s guess, but hey, I just come up with the seeds, it’s your job to not die.
The Walking Dead (1.12)
I’ve never understood why zombies burn in the sun. Isn’t that vampires? Anyway, make sure to set the in-game time to night time (“/Time Set 12000”) when you load in, otherwise, this zombie village will be a ghost town thanks to Minecraft’s ‘mobs burn in sunlight’ rule. Also be sure to press ‘F’ to pay your respects to the villagers who lost their lives bringing you this seed, you absolute monster.
The best Minecraft seeds Console Edition – Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Switch
OP Spawn – World Size Classic
Sometimes loading up a new world can be boring. You know you need wood, then sheep for a bed, then more wood, then cobblestone. The game doesn’t start until you’re really ready. If you just cannot be bothered to wait, feel free to use this seed to bypass the usual safety of the first-day setup by looting up the village to the east before venturing west to the woodland mansion and dying, probably.
Stop with the Weird Spawns – World Size Large
Had enough of weird spawns yet? How about something a little more dangerous? This seed drops you right on top of a woodland mansion with nothing to fight off the oncoming illagers. But how do you beat these fearsome foes? No idea. I’d run in the opposite direction if I’m being honest. Maybe you could try poking them to death? Or if you just want them to leave you alone, try asking them if they’re happy with their current energy supplier. That always seems to work in real life.
3 Mansions, 3 Temples, 4 Villages
World Size: Classic
Biome Scale: Large
Find Balanced: Un-Ticked
By setting the world size to classic, you can really break the game in brilliant ways, which we just had to do, obviously. This seed contains three mansions (with loot), three temples (also with loot), and a ridiculous four villages – all within walking distance of one another. If you fancy keeping a world for farming Trophies or Achievements, this is the one.
4 Villages, 2 Sand Temples Near Spawn
World size: Large
If the classic world size isn’t to your liking, read on. While this seed doesn’t contain a game-breaking amount of loot, four villages and two sand temples – all within walking distance – aren’t anything to turn your nose up at. Plus, once you’ve looted up you’ve still got the rest of the world to explore or build in. This is a solid survival spawn without feeling like you’ve cheated. Well, too much anyway.
Open Skeletons Spawner
World Size: Classic
Biome Scale: Small
Find Balanced: Ticked
Skeletons, right? How many times have they killed you? You’re just strolling through a cave, minding your own business, then a skeleton pops you in the head (and then your loot all falls into lava, because of course it does!). Ah. If you’d like to turn the tables somewhat, at the Northern area of the map is a square hole filled with sand. Dig up the sand to reveal a spawner, then watch as the skeletons start spawning and instantly burn in the sunlight. Revenge is sweet, eh?
World Size: Classic
Have you ever found yourself walking for what feels like hours hoping, praying, you’ll stumble across a village? Your problem is now solved. You’ll spawn near a village, but wait, what’s that in the distance? Why, it’s another village. There’s also an igloo nearby along with a few different biomes to explore. You’ll never go hungry again.
6 Villages, Stronghold in Centre
World Size: Classic
Biome Scale: Large
Find Balanced: Un-Ticked
For the people who thought four villages were a lot, here’s a seed with six. Again, there’s a tonne of loot to be pillaged to get you up and running, and not only that, if you head to the rough centre of the map and dig straight down you’ll happen across a Stronghold. Is this another seed to add to your Trophy and Achievement-hunting list? Quite possibly.
All the Loot You Could Ever Need
Sometimes it’s okay to cheat. If it wasn’t, then what’s the point in having seeds? With this one you’ll find a rather obscene three jungle mansions as well as three different villages and a sand temple. Just be sure to set the world size to small else the game will spread everything out too far, and that’s no fun.
If you're looking for a leg up when you start, this Minecraft seed puts you right near a village and a water temple so you can loot until your heart is content.
Double the Ocean Monuments
Let’s dive right into this one. Ocean Monuments are a dime a dozen these days, but what about two in the same vicinity? You’ll still need the usual underwater gear and potions, of course, but as a source of prismarine and sea lanterns, this seed has everything you could possibly desire for a decent underwater build.
The Frozen Wastes
Spawning in a frozen biome is always a pain. The food’s normally dusted with frost so you can’t mine it and your only chance for survival is poking animals to death so they drop their precious meatsacks. But with this seed, that all changes. Not only is there a village with a mineable food supply, there’s also an igloo within walking distance which houses a zombie villager – a super useful way to complete the Zombie Doctor achievement.
When you tire of putting up with other people and want to live the quiet life, this seed spawns you on an island away from it all. Sail on the vast water - should you get lonely and decide to reintegrate into society, there’s a nearby mansion full of people ready to shout at you for the slightest thing. It’s kind of like Twitter in that respect.
The best Minecraft seeds Bedrock Edition – Mobile, Xbox One, Switch, Windows 10
Everything Is FINE!
This seed is fine. It’s fine. You spawn near a village. It’s fine! Yeah, okay, that’s kind of average-sounding, but! How many times can you say you’ve spawned on a roof? Presumably the player had one too many swift potions and this world starts the day after the night before. And what’s with all those cats? Did you steal cats while intoxicated? You’re a terrible person.
That’s Not How It Works
In more that’s not where you should spawn, this time it’s in a hole. But not just any hole, this hole is deep underground right next to an abandoned mineshaft. This may seem fun, but given how dark everything is, you’re going to need to loot up fast lest this land swallow you whole, as it has so many others…
The Walking Dead Season 3
As with the previous two seasons, set that time of day to night to avoid crispy zomzoms. This may be the third entry in the super-rare zombie village series, but this one has a twist: it’s near a mushroom biome. Right next to it. Are the mushrooms the source of the outbreak? Mushrooms are fungi after all. What if a form of the cordyceps brain infection has reached Minecraft? Find out what happens next time on VG24/7’s The Walking Dead.
Three Villages Fused Together
What happens when you smush three villages together? Nothing, because this should never happen. And yet, here we are. A plains, desert, and zombie plains village all existing in harmony with one another. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? To find this oddity, just do a 180 from the spawn and follow the edge of the mesa biome forwards while keeping an eye on the right.
For People too Lazy to Look for a Stronghold
We’ve all been there. You want to search for something but the idea of having to walk is too much effort. In the UK we call that ‘Summertime’. So if you’re looking for a stronghold without having to do the grunt work, this seed’s for you. Load it up and you’ll spawn in a ravine. Look down slightly and you’ll see some mossy stone. Inside is your stronghold.
This seed is what happens when two worlds collide to create something strangely cool. It’s a village, but it appears to have spawned in the wrong place, resulting in a unique mountain village. What’s even more surprising is how natural this all looks. Houses are still accessible and there’s a rather fetching set of crops which blend in effortlessly to the surrounding hill.
A Dungeon, But Underwater
Here’s the thing: if you have a seaside village, chances are you’re going to get a lot of flooding. That’s what happened here. If you dig down through the well you’ll find an underground dungeon. The catch, though, is this dungeon is completely flooded. While that sounds bad, with the right enchantments and potions this could be a great deep-sea loot hunt.
The Walking Dead Season 2
We’ve already got a zombie village for the Java Edition but not for everything else. With this seed you’ll be able to experience the horror of a zombie village, only this time in the Bedrock editions. The same rules apply as the last: set the time of day to night otherwise these brain-guzzling villagers will burn up before you reach them.
The World’s Biggest Village
There’s an image online of a map with a hundred villages sprinkled together. This image is not entirely accurate (cough – clickbait – cough) and is clearly mods at work. That said, it is possible to have a smaller number of villages spawn right next to each other, which in turn forms a city. The chances are slim, but we managed to find a legit, working seed with its own mini-city. Behold!
Shipwreck on Land
With the update aquatic out for Bedrock, what better way to test it all than by visiting a shipwreck in the desert (this also doubles up as the perfect example of irony). Why is there a ship in the desert? No idea, but shipwrecks have loot, so it’s definitely worth exploring. And you won’t even need any underwater potions to search it which is always a plus.
Due to the procedural generation of Minecraft, sometimes things break. This seed is, thankfully, when things break in the right way. A short jog from the spawn point is a mineshaft that appears to have broken free from its underground shackles in a bid for freedom, leaving exposed loot and a wealth of unknown prizes to be discovered.
Balanced Survival Spawn
If you’re after a strong start, you’re in luck. Not only is there a village spawn nearby, there’s also a blacksmith, complete with three diamonds. It’s not a game-breaking amount admittedly, but this seed is more about starting a survival world without needing to cheat or become god-like. Three diamonds is the perfect amount to start you off on any new adventure.
Deep Sea Diving
More underwater update aquatic antics for you. This time we’ll be taking a moment to appreciate just how beautiful Minecraft can be when it all comes together. Who’d have thought those murky depths would someday be turned into something so eye-grabbing? Oh, and there’s a shipwreck and underwater ruins nearby for all the deep-sea loot hunters out there.
This Minecraft seed, suggested by commenter SandyShores, borders onto three different biomes: a desert, a grassy plane, and a savanna. Head straight to the desert section of the nearby village and break through the bottom of the well and you will find yourself in a stronghold straight away.

The best Minecraft seeds for Minecraft 1.17
Looking for the best Minecraft seeds to start a new adventure? Whether you're looking for a remote survival island, a quaint village, or some of the rare biomes, we've got some excellent seeds to spawn into. Whatever your purpose, the seeds listed here should have you covered. With the upcoming release of Minecraft 1.18, there's a lot to be excited about if you're thinking of returning to Mojang's blocky sandbox.
We've searched the Minecraft community and listed our favourite Minecraft seeds below. They've been split up into different categories too—survival, village, and biome seeds—so finding your ideal world should be nice and easy. There's also a handy section at the bottom for Minecraft Bedrock Edition seeds.
So what are you waiting for? Here are the best Minecraft seeds, as well as a quick explainer on how to use them.
How to use Minecraft seeds
Simply put, Minecraft seeds are a string of numbers that dictate an exact Minecraft world for you to load into. Before creating a new world, you can punch these numbers in to conjure up the particular place you want to explore, and creators share these codes online. You'll find a field to enter your chosen seed in the "More World Options" menu when creating a new world. Using a seed will get you exactly the same world generation as someone else who's used it.
The only thing you need to keep in mind is to make sure you’re running the correct version of Minecraft. Otherwise, your seed has a chance of not spawning exactly what you want, or being just slightly different.
Thankfully, it’s pretty painless to run legacy versions of Minecraft. All you need to do is open the launcher, click on "Launch Options" then "Add New." From here you can name it, and below that is a drop-down box with all the previous editions. Just click on the one you need, head back to the “News” section, and load up the version you need. Now, an in-depth look at the best Minecraft seeds.
Minecraft 1.18 seeds
Minecraft is completely shaking up its world generation when the second half of the Caves & Cliffs update arrives this year. Caves are getting deeper and mountains are getting taller. Right now, Mojang is testing out some very early versions of update 1.18 in what it's calling "experimental snapshots" before it starts releasing the usual pre-update snapshot builds.
Things are still in such a state of change that Mojang is tweaking how worlds generate just about every week in a new experimental snapshot build. That means we don't have a list of the best 1.18 Minecraft seeds for you yet, but the good news is that just about every 1.18 seed is super interesting. You can load into a random world on creative mode and pretty quickly find a huge ravine to dive into or a super amplified mountain to fly around.
Minecraft survival seeds
Minimalist Survival Island
- Seed: 3366408241916580461 | Version 1.17
This pared-down setting might well inspire some soul-searching. Essential supplies are entirely nonexistent. Where will you find your first block of wood when the horizon is full of ocean in every direction? Be careful which way you choose to swim. There's an ocean monument out there, but will you see it before the Guardians see you? This survival seed was originally logged for version 1.7 but we've included the 1.17 view for you here. Still super minimal as far as Minecraft seeds for survivors go!
Castaway double shipwreck
- Seed: 7777777777988733304 | Version 1.16
This double shipwreck island Minecraft seed is ripe for a castaway survival story. You'll spawn in at the center of this small island, as if you've awoken from wrecking your ship on its shores. You aren't the first though. There's another shipwreck here too. Where might the unlucky survivors who came before you have gone? Through the now ruined nether portal nearby perhaps?
12-Eye End Portal Seed
- Seed: 4776164391216949839 | Version 1.17
Minecraft seeds in which your world's End Portal generates with all 12 Eyes Of Ender already assembled and activated are extremely rare. You won't just stumble upon one by chance, most likely. Here's one you can load up to use for your own survival adventures. When you're ready to hit the fortress, head to coordinates X: 1146, Y: 63, Z: -637. Right beneath you is the room adjacent to a fortress's activated End Portal. Before you rush off to the dragon though, you'll probably want to hit up the nearby desert and jungle villages for supplies.
Mansion In The Heartwood
- Seed: 110918009997 | Version 1.17
Nothing beats charging headfirst into a mansion with the intention of besting every Illager (not to be confused with Villager) that moves. But finding a mansion in survival is no easy feat. It’ll take hours of scouring every forest hoping that one day you’ll come face-to-face with that foreboding wooden structure. This mansion is helpfully right at spawn, and it's located inside an eerily heart-shaped forest surrounded by badlands. If the mansion isn't challenge enough, there's a pillager outpost at the other edge of the forest. Good luck!
Minecraft village seeds
Ocean Temple Island Village
- Seed: 6039186344010446208 | Version 1.16
This island village seed looks like something that crawled right out of The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker. You'll spawn right in the middle of this idyllic little island village surrounded by ocean with several watchtowers and houses. It even has a small cave below the village where you can begin your mining operation. Lurking just outside the edge of town, beyond the wooden docks, is an ocean temple. This one would definitely pair well with the Wind Waker-themed option on our best Minecraft texture packs list.
Source: Minecraft Seeds
- Seed: 2083747154327962073 | Version 1.16.1
If you're looking for a Minecraft shipwreck to explore, it doesn't get easier than this conveniently unwrecked ship that appears to be docked in a village. It's right by spawn too, so you'll be able to immediately load up and start digging through the treasure on this helpfully abandoned and not-so-sunken ship. Hey, it might even make a nice home if you decide to move into town. As a note, the placement of the ship isn't as perfect if you generate this seed in 1.17, but you can certainly create your world in 1.16.1 initially and then play it in 1.17 after!
Four villages at spawn
- Seed: -4379469131957062683 | Version 1.17
These four villages may or may not all live in harmony, but you can find out yourself right after you begin a world with this Minecraft seed. You'll spawn in on a cliff just to the west of the Taiga village. Three other village types: the Tundra, Savannah, and Desert are all nearby as well. You can almost spot them all if you squint in the screenshot above. Flip to the second image to spot them by their torches burning at sunset.
Double Village Islands
- Seed: 5329177101860618450 | Version 1.16
Island villages are always a neat find, but how about two islands, each with their own village? Better yet, they're connected across the water. Even better, one of them is a zombie village. This seed sure seems ripe for a story.
Minecraft biome seeds
Big Bamboo Jungle
- Seed: -6007508716048973791 | Version 1.17
This seed plants you right next to a huge bamboo forest for you to explore if you haven't come close to Minecraft's panda mobs yet. You'll find the edge of the forest not far from spawn. If you venture around the outer edges of the bamboo forest you'll also find a small village in the plains and a witch hut over in the nearby swamp.
Source: Minecraft Seeds
- Seed: -452616212506859587| Version 1.17
Okay. So. Iceberg biomes are cool. Not only do they carry this weird foreboding feeling, but they’re great to build a home in. Who doesn’t want to live in an ice castle? What makes this seed so special is, like many seeds, you spawn on two tiny islands. Only with this seed, turn in any direction and all you see is ice spikes. You'd better think fast, because surviving this seed isn’t going to be easy. Try to make friends with the polar bears on the floe next door, perhaps.
Source: Minecraft Village Seeds
- Seed: 83539627 | Version 1.17
If you're looking for a big, beautiful badlands biome, you've found it. You're in for more of a challenge than that though, so don't get too comfortable. You'll spawn right at the base of these colorful mesas, right beside the opening to an abandoned mineshaft. Explore the nearby ravine and you'll find even more mineshafts, chests with treasure, and some spawners too. This seed gives you a great head start and a challenge to boot.

Giant mushroom donut
- Seed: -6316420307748711466 | Version 1.17
If you want to chow down on one of Minecraft's rarest biomes, this enormous donut-shaped Mushroom island is the treat you're looking for. You'll spawn right on this massive island full of Mooshroom cows and towering fungi. If you head towards its center, you'll even find some underwater ruins beneath the surface.
Minecraft novelty seeds
The Minecraft title screen
- Seed: 2151901553968352745 | Beta 1.7.3
After years of trying to find it, a group of determined Redditors finally found the Minecraft seed that will take you to the title screen's location. It's a historic moment in Minecraft's history and if you've always wanted to actually explore the blurry landscape behind the game's iconic text, now you can.

Minecraft Bedrock seeds and Pocket Edition seeds
Now that Mojang have unified all the non-Java versions together as the Bedrock version, these Minecraft seeds will all work on your Pocket Edition Minecraft, Windows 10 version, and console versions as well.
Stronghold spawn seed
- Seed: -160471485 | Version 1.17
If you want to make a mad dash for the end, this is a great seed to do it on. You'll spawn right beside a zombie village, beneath which is an end portal at coordinates (899, 47, 38). Before you head down there, you might want to go gear up by visiting the nearby savannah village just across the small bay from where you spawn.
- Seed: 542630838 | Version 1.17
If you're looking for a nice island to wake up on, you can't do much better than this tidy village with three blacksmiths. That's a lot of gear to swipe right off the bat. Not only that, but this is actually a popular speedrunning seed. Your first target can be the abandoned zombie village on the adjacent island. The island you spawn on has a Stronghold and end portal beneath it. If you take a swim, you'll quickly spot several places where you can just dive right into the stronghold without mining a single block.
Biome Melting Pot
- Seed: 2111844826 | Version 1.17
This Bedrock edition seed doesn't dump you right where you want to be, but trust us it's totally worth teleporting to. After you spawn, use the /tp command to send yourself to the coordinates (-185, 64, 117). You'll find yourself right at the edge of a mushroom biome looking across a very small ocean at a badlands biome, a jungle, some mountains, a tundra, and even some ice spikes. It's quite a lot of rare, desirable biomes all tucked into one area—perfect for anyone looking to sample just a little bit of almost everything Minecraft has to offer. If you head into the ice spikes, you'll find a tundra village not too far away too.
Arctic Survival Island
- Seed: 1669737730 | Version 1.17
If you really liked the look of that isolated arctic survival island seed for Java, here's one for Bedrock edition too! You'll spawn on this medium-sized island surrounded entirely by a frozen ocean and icebergs. There's more than enough trees and space on this one island to keep you busy, especially with several underwater shipwrecks and ocean ruins nearby. Once you've conquered all that, there are a few dark forests to find on further shores. You're rather far from civilization though, so don't expect to find a village unless you take a very, very long boat ride.
The 30 best Minecraft seeds for 1.17.1
What are the best Minecraft seeds? In my view, the best seeds are the ones that create fantastic worlds which capture your imagination from the first moment you set foot in them. And if you're looking for a good seed to help kickstart your latest Minecraft adventure, you've come to the right place.
Below you'll find no fewer than 30 of the best Minecraft seeds for 1.17.1. Whether you're after Villages, Bamboo Jungles, Island starts or whatever else, we've got the perfect seed for you!
The best Minecraft Seeds
This seed starts you on the border between rolling desert dunes and idyllic seaside grassland, with a village on either side where you can take refuge from the elements. Look a little further and you'll see that danger is on the horizon in the form of a Pillager Outpost. Perhaps this is why the two villages are so close together, to unite in defence against the pillager onslaught. If you want to connect these two villages into a small kingdom, you could make a wall between them. Line the wall with some towers so that you can pick off any invading Pillagers before they get close.
You can see why villagers decided to settle here, right on the coast of the endless blue ocean in this marvellous Minecraft seed. Anyone starting here will gain immediate access to trees, food, and all the myriad tools and riches of the village, before either venturing out inland through the desert, or embarking on a voyage into the sea, perhaps on a search for rare Axolotls or other seafaring mobs.
A squirreled away Forest Village next to spawn lends even more character to this already characterful Minecraft world. Imagine what can be built using this impressive mountainside as a foundation. From here you can overlook the entire forest, easily map out the land, and spot any dangers long before they arrive.
Savanna and Village
This friendly seed spawns you mere blocks away from a village, on the outskirts of a sprawling savanna biome. The hills of the savanna cut up the horizon line, giving you a fascinating and characterful landscape to explore, build, fight, and - let's be honest - almost certainly die at some point. It's a wonderful, idyllic starting point - particularly if you go in with shaders enabled.
A fantastic seed for a Nether rush, this seed plants you on the border between plains and desert, with two villages in sight from spawn, trees aplenty, and surface lava to boot. Think how quickly you could be delving into the Nether and all the dangers and fascinations awaiting you there - not least of which are the ability to gather Netherite and brew Potions to dramatically increase your power.
By far the most dangerous seed in this list, you'll have to run like the wind to escape this Pillager Outpost mere blocks from spawn. Depending on the direction you run, you'll find either towering mountains (home of the goats) or lush greenery and forest (home of the bees), either of which make for an excellent base from which you can fight back against the Pillagers.
Beautiful Forest Hills
A stark, dramatic, majestic world of snow-capped hills and rivers ploughing through mountains, this truly is a beautiful Minecraft spawn location. It's locations like these that bring back that initial wonder of exploring your very first Minecraft worlds. I'd highly suggest listening to Minecraft's astonishingly nostalgic soundtrack while you play your first few days and nights in this seed. A wonderful place to plant down your Banner and create your new home.
Riverside Sunflower Plains
A stunning riverside sunflower plains biome makes for a fantastic place to start building a new home. Why not also check out our Minecraft house ideas page to help plan out the perfect home in this idyllic land?
Extreme Hills Lavafall
At first this desert biome seems like nothing out of the ordinary. But venture just a little further from spawn, and you might catch sight of a spectacular Extreme Hills biome in the distance, complete with seaside lavafall that petrifies into stone as it hits the water. What a location for a grand Minecraft build, eh?
A great locale for a good fireworks display, this one. If you're after a truly majestic Minecraft spawn location, check out this extraordinary conglomeration of biomes. Frozen rivers and ice spikes are surrounded by acres of forest and grassland. Either stay in the forests and create your own woodland home there, or use the ice spikes as the foundation for a more unusual build overlooking the whole landmass.
Mesa and Cave Spiders
My love of Mesa biomes is matched only by my horror at seeing a Cave Spider spawner peeking out onto the surface right next to spawn. You'll have to steer well clear of that malicious cave mouth until you're prepared to clear out those pesky poisonous arachnids and win the Mesa biome all for yourself. I'd recommend enchanting your sword with Bane of Arthropods first! If you'd rather use your trusty axe, that can get the Bane of Arthropods enchantment too! It's a bit more tricky though, as you'll need an enchanted book first.
Extreme Hills Splendour
This phenomenal Extreme Hills biome right next to spawn is the perfect setting for a sky-scraping castle or palace. Unleash your inner architect as you cast your eye over this marvellous mountain, and imagine what colossal build could be housed atop or within it. Just be sure to give yourself an easy way down into the grasslands and savannas below for a spot of mining or Amethyst-hunting.
Bamboo Jungle and Snowy Hills
A fascinating conjunction of very different biomes awaits the player who spawns in this Minecraft world. Jungle, plains, and snow-capped hills all converge around a beautiful Bamboo Jungle within spitting distance of spawn, giving you easy access to wood, stone, bamboo, and pretty much anything else you'd ever need to start a new Minecraft journey. A great place to build a new home using 1.17's Copper blocks; they'd look great next to all that green and white.
Bamboo Jungle Temple
Players who head south from spawn in this Minecraft seed will have to wade their way through a dense Jungle biome, before reaching a terrific Bamboo Jungle. See if you can find the nearby Jungle Temple to the west as well, as that will give players a great early game gift package to help get them started in this new world.
More Bamboo Jungle
Lovers of the colour green, this seed is for you! Bamboo Jungle weaves about regular Jungle to the north-east, while nearby grassland provides a break from the thick undergrowth when needed. I'd be tempted to pick one of the tallest jungle trees on the border of the grassland, and build a fantastic treehouse there to overlook everything below as far as the eye can see.
Bamboo and Lava
A dangerous twist marks this world apart from others in this list. Spawn here and you'll find another excellent Bamboo Jungle reaching high into the sky next to the coast - but there's also a lava lake amidst all the bamboo and undergrowth, threatening to ignite the whole jungle unless you act quickly! Not a great place for open flames, really.
Bamboo Jungle Temple 2
A seed fit for fans of Indiana Jones, you'll have to fight through the undergrowth of this exotic mix of Jungle and Bamboo Jungle in order to get to the gooey centre of this spawn experience: a Jungle Temple nestled snugly in between several trees, housing treasures galore - perhaps even diamonds if you're lucky.
Yet Another Bamboo Jungle
For true lovers of the newest biome added to Minecraft's overworld, this seed spawns you right on top of a Bamboo Jungle. The above is more or less exactly the view you're given upon spawning into the world. But that's not all! Head the opposite direction from spawn and you'll almost immediately see a heart-shaped pool filled with dolphins, right next to the endless blue ocean.
Ocean Monument Island
This challenging island seed holds more than a few surprises. Step just off the precipice of this rock rising from the sea, and you'll spot an extremely close by Ocean Monument below the water, and an ultra-rare Mooshroom Biome on the horizon not far from spawn. It was also storming not long after I started on this seed, so you might want to consider putting up a few Lightning Rods to protect your builds if you plan to lay down foundations here!
While hardly the most challenging island seed out there, this cluster of tiny Minecraft islands makes for an interesting start and a great building location. In fact, why don't I offer out a challenge to all builders, to construct one build on each island in the archipelago. Let loose your imagination when it comes to utilising the space given to you!
Island and Mesa
This Minecraft seed spawns you right on top of a lovely, large, idyllic starting island, with plenty of trees to help you get started on your journey. Once you've got basic tools set up, you can choose either to make this island your home, or craft a boat and sail over to the staggeringly huge and beautiful series of Mesa biomes on the horizon.
Smallest Island Ever
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the smallest island I've ever spawned on, composed of a grand total of three blocks. Right next to another island composed of a grand total of three blocks. Yes, this is natural, no commands or mods involved. But don't despair: to the west lies a large, bleak-but-beautiful Snowy Tundra that you can delve into to gather everything you need for the perfect Minecraft adventure.
No Tree Island
Dare you challenge this herd of cows for dominance of this remote and tree-less island? If not, then just follow the trail of tiny islands southeast and you'll see on the horizon just about the only island in this entire archipelago that houses at least a few trees. Venture just a little farther and you might also find the Ocean Monument nestled between three islands.
A heavily tree-covered island on the edge of a warm ocean, with coral reefs, shipwrecks, and ocean monuments aplenty nearby. The largest of a six island archipelago, you may find everything you need here for a great start - but set sail to the northeast and you'll find a collection of treasures: a large village, a spectacular mountain range, and a Ruined Nether Portal. This seed strikes me as a great starting point for a tight-knit server of family or friends.
Endless Beach (Large Biomes)
A true beach, this one. Travel inland for your first few trees, then head back to the coast for a great building spot. The nearby lava pool is either an eyesore you can quickly cover over, or your chance to beeline straight to the Nether for potions and other underworldly delights. You could even grab some Soul Sand and Wither Skulls to challenge the Wither boss. If you manage to defeat it, you will get a Nether Star, which you can use to make a Beacon.
Frozen Wasteland (Large Biomes)
A stark and colossal frozen wasteland provides a suitable challenge for the veteran Minecraft player. A challenge, but not an insurmountable one thanks to the presence of a tiny ravine right at your feet as you spawn, giving you safe and easy access to iron; and also the presence of a village not far at all from where you start.
Colossal Jungle (Large Biomes)
Oh, you thought we were done with Bamboo Jungles? This is the largest of the lot, and it's right at the centre of what might be the largest area of Jungle I've ever seen. Rivers and lakes carve a path through all the greenery - follow those paths and they may lead you to several Jungle Temples.
Snowy Mountains (Large Biomes)
A wonderful and characterful mix of mountains and frost-bitten forests, this Minecraft seed is begging for someone to populate it with builds, tunnels, and creeper craters in the ground. A great start for animal lovers too, this spawn will set you down beside a pair of foxes and a cow looking after her two little cowlings (yes, I know they're calves - but cowlings is way cuter).
Endless Desert (Large Biomes)
This challenging seed slaps you in the middle of a gigantic desert. Can you save yourself from starving? Here's a hint: follow the north river, and you'll quickly come across not only a Desert Temple but also a village. Whether the food there will be enough to keep you from starving... Well, that's up to you. You might want to procure some horses to make your way across the dunes quickly.
Sunny Savanna (Large Biomes)
Savanna lovers, this seed is for you. Reaching far to the north-east past Deserts and Forests alike, this Minecraft world is filled with beautiful vistas. It's not perfect though; you'll have to gear up if you want to defeat that Pillager Outpost not far from spawn, and remove its blemish from the otherwise glorious landscape.
Well, those are all the best Minecraft seeds we've got for now; hopefully you've found one or two worlds that match up with what you were after. To give your new world more of a visual pop, there are various texture packs available. And why stop with just the world? A new Minecraft journey deserves a new you, so take a look at our list of the best Minecraft skins while you're here!
Minecraft seeds pretty
What are Minecraft seeds? Simply put, Minecraft seeds are codes that help make the game more vivid and full of life. Any Minecraft player, be it a professional miner or a first timer, cannot control the terrain. 3. Floating Island and Ominous Abyss
This is not a very common seed, we have now the Floating Island and Ominous Abyss which as it’s name says and you can see in the image has a floating island with plenty of greens on it. But the floating island is not the only good thing about this seed, the terrain is filled with a ravine, a river and a temple all the way to the back. If you are a fan of amazing Minecraft environments and views, this is a must to try.
4. Hollow Mountain and Zombies
Now to one of my personal favorite seeds. This is a massive Hollow Mountain that is about 250 blocks high (it’s big lol). The view from the top is impressive like this cliff side mansion, the mountain has a hill in the middle and there is a big cavern in it too. Something else good about this seed is that there is a small town next to it and a patch of plains.
5. Extreme Hills Seed
Then we have another hill/mountain seed. This is an Extreme Hill, if you decide to explore it you will quickly realize why it’s called “extreme”. The seed has some huge and amazing mountains right next to the spawn. Extreme Hill seed is so cool we know some players have used it as their main map when starting on Creative Mode, in case that is something you are looking to do soon too.
6. Mesa Forest Seed
If you are looking for a seed that has it all then this may be it! Well, not all but this Mesa Forest seed has a lot of things we know you will enjoy. As the main feature has a huge forest that goes through the whole area. You will also find a ravine with groups of trees but not as many as this Minecraf tree bundle, it also has layers of clay. Something that will surprise you and it’s one big reason to test out this seed is the underground tunnel system that covers the land, it’s impressive.
7. Minimalist Survival Island
Looking for a unique seed? This seed will be the ultimate survival island you will find in the whole Minecraft world. The reason why this island is so different and difficult to survive in, is because the island is – apart from some grass and sand – completely empty, hence the minimalist name. Yes, this doesn’t as sound exciting as other seeds, but it is definitely a unique challenge. It does remind us to the Lost tv series lol
8. Village Surrounded by Snow
For those looking for a little more lively seed compared to the past few ones we want to mention this Village Seed. As you can see in the image, it’s surrounded by a forest covered in snow, There are plenty of trees – here is a bundle of cherry trees in case you are looking for some -, grass and a few mountains not so far away. You will also find 3 diamonds by the ice plains biome.
9. Desert Mountain filled with Lave and a Splash of Greenery
Another beautifully dry seed is this one we called “Desert Mountain with Lava and splash of green”. It is not difficult to imagine why we call it that way. What you will find in this seed is a massive desert with some big mountains, the unique part about this seed is that said mountains have a few trees at the top but there is also lava running down the mountain. There are also some green areas in the desert which probably won’t last long after the lava reaches them.
10. Landlocked Mushroom Biome
Following with the diverse environment seeds we want to show you this Landlocked Mushroom biome. The biome is also next to some hills, a couple roofed and birch forests. It is also surrounded by water so as you can see there are plenty to explore if you decide to try out the seed.

12. Snowy Island and Big Mountains
Now another snow, island and mountain filled seed as some others we have mentioned in this post. This snowy island seed will spawn you in a floating island on top of the ocean. As you can see in the image, this floating island has crazy views from the top on which you will also find big mountains covered in snow.
13. Ravine Library Seed
Looking for seeds where they are not in an open environment we found this really nice Ravine Library seed. At the start of it you will encounter a stronghold intersecting with the ravine, there are a few intersections, not just one. Then you will find the library with no walls which is visible from the ravine, if you need walls check out our post on Minecraft wall ideas. Not exactly inside there is a portal room with flowing lava and a waterfall, this just to make it even more cool in case you are not that amazed by the library.
14. Ice Plains with Flower Forest
If you enjoy the Tundra biome you probably will like this Ice Plain biome with ice pillars surrounded by grass, trees and water. You will begin the exploration in the flower forest, not exactly flower pots but views from there are impressive, then you can move in direction to the ice plains for the beautiful frozen landscape.
15. Crazy Crater Seed
Last but not least we want to mention this Crazy Crater Seed. This seed features a crater with lots of caves inside it and a ravine coming out from it not as many as this Minecraft caves mining dimension data pack but a lot.
