I am so sad to have to leave a less than stellar review. The atmosphere and view are great, we really missed open air beach side dining on this island and this delivered that. After talking extensively with the hostess and server about our gluten allergy (my 7yo son and I) he modified a burger for me. I ordered the regular burger (listed as safe) but asked to add pineapple and bacon (NOT the teriyaki burger). I ordered without the GF bun too just bc I don't enjoy them and try to avoid all grain when possible anyway. My burger came and I ate 2-3 bites when I tasted a sweet sauce and became worried, sure enough they brought me a teriyaki burger. Totally gluten sauces and marinated in it too :( The staff were so upset and the manager was so apologetic and offered to make me a safe burger (turned them down) and wanted to have us back in for dinner. They waived the entire check for my meal including my husband and son's and our pre meal cocktails which was above and beyond. If you eat there with an allergy I would not only talk about it extensively, I would even mention how this has been lacking before, and double check before consuming just to be safe. This was TWICE on Maui I was glutened in 2 days. And I am SO careful, only eating at places that accommodate and have good reviews.
