Disc Golf Courses in Colorado Springs

Similar to regular golf, the goal is to land your disc into the Disc Pole Hole – a pole extending up from the ground with a basket and chains to help stop the disc. The winner will have the fewest number of cumulative throws from the tee area to the hole throughout the 9- or hole course. So gather your friends and your flying discs and head out to one of the disc golf courses in Colorado Springs.

The Aviary
Located in south Colorado Springs, this course combines the use of Fountain Creek, open elevated shots and heavily wooded areas.

Cottonwood Creek
This very popular course on the north side of Colorado Springs has a good mix of wooded and open fairways with changes in elevation. The course has different looks, as there are several alternate pin placements. A practice basket is provided. It’s a fun and challenging course with some narrow fairways.

Woodmen Hills Parks and Recreation Disc Golf Course
WHP&R Disc Gold Course is a nine-hole beginners course. Each hole is a par 3 except the last one being a par 4. It is located across the street from Horseshoe Park in Woodmen Hills Metro district, designed around the creek bed.

Fort Carson
Established in , this well-marked and enjoyable 9-hole course provides challenging elevation on some of your maneuvering shots. Gorgeous views of Cheyenne Mountain and Colorado Springs can be seen from this high-desert terrain. This course is located on Fort Carson but is open to both military and non-military. If you are not a military cardholder, you will need to show your driver’s license when entering the base, so budget in a little extra time.

Holmes Middle School
This smaller course is great for the beginner disc golfer. 5 baskets comprise this 9-hole mostly flat and lightly wooded course. Available only when school is not in session.

Nick’s Soaring Eagle / Nick Naples Memorial
Named after its year-old creator who designed this course as his Eagle Scout service project, this disc golf course is located on Woodland Park Middle School property. Opened in , the mostly flat and moderately wooded landscape provides 9 holes with 8 baskets. Available for use only during non-school hours including holidays, summer, after school and weekends.

Widefield Park
With a good mix of technical and open shots, this course has a small stream that runs through it which adds a fun challenge. The course winds through a park with several mature trees. 18 holes with 18 baskets are located throughout the mostly flat but some moderately wooded areas.

Shining Mountain Golf Course 
This course is Colorado's first permanent Mountain Disc Golf and Ball Golf course. The course is open for the season anytime after 3 pm. Call for more information.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park 
Try out your roller, tomahawk and hyzer throws on the newly installed short but challenging 9-hole disc golf course in the Meadows Campground lop in Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Seven of the holes are rated at par three; two holes — the yard seventh and the -yard ninth — are par four.

Cumberland Green 
Experience this permanent hole course in Fountain, CO for your next game. Located in a low-traffic area allows players at this course to take in the sites and not feel rushed to get to that next hole. 

Rampart 
Containing a mix of long shots and elevation gains, this fun hole course can offer a bit of a challenge to players. 

Rockin' the Rails
Located along Palmer Lake, this hole course offers players incredible views of the area. Please note that trail users have priority here and there is no throwing while someone is on the trail.  

Peterson Air Force Base
This nine-hole disc golf course located in Peak View Park wraps around the back of building And when you're done playing disc golf there's also a Putt-Putt golf course as well. And the best part? All putters, golf balls and discs can be rented for free on the base.

Sand Creek 
This mostly flat and wooded course offers ft. in length and 9 holes to play.

Ashland Nebraska - Ox Bow Lake Park Disc Golf Course
S 8th St, Ashland Ne. 18 holes. Moderately flat and a fair amount of trees and open spaces. The short but sweet 9 hole course is Omaha's newest course (Sept '20).  Located on the northeast side of the park. Hole one is near Park Avenue and Hickory Street (just south of the twin apartment towers). Located in one of Omaha oldest parks, it has mature trees, tight shots and elevation changes.
