Go urban dictionary DEFAULT

A term used by people when in extremely awkward or un-wanted situations. Often said at a quick pace and often accompanied by a rolling of the eyes. It is a short response which actually has paragraphs of meaning behind it. If you have "Gotta go" said to you by someone else you have probably just made a fool of yourself. Consider jumping off the next cliff you see.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

Bud: "Let's hang out sometime and play Teletubbies."
Jill: "Gotta go!"

Person 1: "Want to come up to my room and finish Shrek!?"
Person 2: "Gotta go."

Person 1: (Says this to someone with a boyfriend deployed to Iraq.) "Oh my gosh, I miss my boyfriend so much. I haven't seen him in 3 hours!"
Person 2: (Instead of punching person one in face) "Gotta go!"

An exclamatory phrase uttered to highlight a truly incredible moment, exemplary act, or memorable event. This excited utterance is most prominently used when there are simply no other words to describe the pure awesome-ness of the situation.

NOTE: Learned etymologists recognize that only a rare number of events or circumstances are actually worthy of this phrase, and so do not overuse it. In the event that a person is so fortunate as to live in or experience an incident or situation that may be deemed to be an even greater, more momentous moment – a pinnacle amongst pinnacles, as it were – the phrase may be expressed in all-caps in order to further emphasize its supreme significance.

ANNOUNCER: “How did it feel to hit the game-winner that put your team in the playoffs?”
PLAYER: “Ah . . . man . . . I don’t know what to say; I have no words. Ahh! Gotta Go!”

“Radiohead just came out with a new album?! AH! GOTTA GO!”

This can refer to any item or object which is the most commonly used or which you use without having to think about it, such as a food, bag, facial expression, etc. Your 'go-to x' is the 'x' that you will resort to most commonly when you don't have the inclination/time to come up with something more original, or else that you will just go to automatically.

A go-to bag, for example, would be one that went with any day-to-day outfit and is suitable in pretty much any situation. If you're in a rush, you grab your go-to bag.

If you're feeling unimaginative, you eat your go-to food - something quick that requires little effort but tastes good.

The same principle can be applied to pretty much anything.

A: You look grumpy, what's up?
B: Nothing, this is just my go-to face.

A: Dude, all you have in your cupboard is pasta and tinned tomatoes.
B: Yeh I know, I haven't had chance to go shopping - pasta is just my go-to meal.

A: Do you know what kind of glue I should use to stick 2 pieces of wood together?
B: I dunno, I'd just use PVA, it's my go-to glue.

noun: A go to is the person you go to for sex on a consistent basis without it being a dating relationship. It is also the term to use when describing the fact that you are sleeping with someone but not actually dating or even "seeing each other". Its the term for the person you go to for consistently good sex and no pressures.

The term perfectly describes a relationship based soley on sex. Unlike "friends with benefits" which implies friendship that includes sex, the "go to" relationship generally starts as sex first. If a friendship develops it is usually a by-product of the sexual relationship rather than the origination of the sexual relationship. Different than a booty call or hook up, the go-to relationship is generally more consistent, which eliminates one or both parties from having to go out and look for it.... Cuz ya got a "go-to" for that!

Question: Are you dating anyone? Answer: No, but I do have a go to.

Question: What are you up to? Answer: My go-to is coming over for a bit then I'm going to the mall.

Question: Wow, he's cute...are you dating him? Answer: No, he's my go-to.

Abbreviation for a Gathering of Eagles, a right-wing extremist group who thinks that sending off US Military personnel to overseas conflicts to be killed wholesale and lugged home in body bags (frequently burned to a crisp or dismembered) or alive but heinously physically disfigured or maimed or even left emotionally paralyzed by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, is the best way to support them. This group regularly engages in counter-protests at pro-peace gatherings. Their tactics involve using intimidation, threats, hate-speech, videotaping members of anti-war organizations, and attempting to instigate a violent response through various means of confrontation. GOE members have gone so far as to physically assault grieving members of service members' families who have spoken out against the various wars that the US Government has gotten the nation into. This reprehensible group is opposed by several noble organizations that include Veterans for Peace and the Winter Soldiers. The GOE frequently suggests as "vast liberal conspiracy" involving the media opposes their efforts and calls anyone who opposes their efforts as "moonbats," whatever that is.

Carolyn Swartout is an infamous member of the despicable and often hateful organization known as a Gathering of Eagles (GOE). She has been witness attempting to provoke a violent response at peaceful anti-war gatherings sometimes by using her minor son to instigate a confrontation. She is a coward.
